This dark green velvet Spencer was first seen in (and likely made for) the fifth season of 𝑷𝒐𝒍𝒅𝒂𝒓𝒌, where Eleanor Tomlinson wore it as Demelza Poldark in 2019.   It was most recently seen in 2023 in the third season of 𝑺𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒕𝒐𝒏, worn by Sophie Winkleman as Lady Susan.   Most recently, it was spotted on Liv Hill as Mary in the BBC’s 𝑴𝒊𝒔𝒔 𝑨𝒖𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒏.   See more of this beautiful piece at Bit.ly/RegRom214  

The piece is an interesting color, appearing gray, with just a subtle hint of green.   Sam Perry possibly created this costume for the first episode of the first season of 𝑺𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒕𝒐𝒏, where it made its debut on Lily Sacofsky as Clara Brereton. However, it could just as easily have originated with an earlier production.   The piece was worn again in the 2022 film 𝑴𝒓. 𝑴𝒂𝒍𝒄𝒐𝒍𝒎’𝒔 𝑳𝒊𝒔𝒕, where it was worn by an extra.   It will return to the screen in 2025 in PBS Masterpiece’s new series titled 𝑴𝒊𝒔𝒔 𝑨𝒖𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒏 on Liv Hill as Young Mary.   This gown will almost certainly continue to be used again, so keep your eyes peeled!
