☘︎ ݁ a blankqueer term for those who are deemed “incorrectly“ queer. from old English mis- meaning “wrongly, badly, incorrectly“ and queer.
misqueer represents any queer person who has been deemed the “wrong“ type of queer, including:
☘︎ aro-allo individuals, as well as aro-spec individuals who still desire and/or engage in/with romance, and a-spec individuals who still desire and/or engage in/with sex. ☘︎ aplatonic, afamilial, asensual, etc. individuals, and those on the spectrum of aforementioned labels. ☘︎ ݁contradictory label-using individuals such as multisexual spectrum lesbians, gays, hets, etc.; lesboys and turigirls, tris/cistrans, afab transfem/amab transmasc, and any of those who consider oneself contraqueer. ☘︎ gender non-conforming transgender individuals, including those who cross-dress, transmasculine individuals who use a feminine name and/or pronouns, transfeminine individuals who use a masculine name and/or pronouns, transgender drag artists, and any of those who consider oneself GNC. ☘︎ individuals who use micro-labels or otherwise not well-known labels. ☘︎ nounself, name only/no pronoun, xenopronoun, and any other neopronoun user. ☘︎ those who experience queerplatonic, alterous, or another tertiary attraction commonly seen as having characteristics of romantic attraction while not actually being romantic. ☘︎ transgender individuals who desire or have undergone an unorthodox medical transition, such as micro-dosing hormones, surgery without hormones, synsex (controversially known as salmacian), nullosex/nullification or otherwise altersex, and any other form of anormative medical transition. ☘︎ ݁transgender individuals who do not wish to medically transition at all. ☘︎ transgender individuals who transitioned, are transitioning, or will transition later in life. ☘︎ unlabelled individuals or individuals who reject labels altogether. ☘︎ xenogender individuals.

☘︎ amber represents the positive, warm, and friendly energy for each other in the community, and endurance through misunderstanding and blind hatred. ☘︎ gold as a color represents prospering in misqueer identities, and growth in the common understanding of misqueer identities. ☘︎ white represents a new beginning for those who have come to accept misqueer identities or being one oneself, and an open mind even to identities you don’t understand. ☘︎ black represents the intimidation and vulnerability misqueers ofen feel in one’s identity, and others’ off-put nature to misqueer identities. ☘︎ light red represents anger that misqueers feel about others being inconsiderate or outright aggressive towards one’s identity. ☘︎ dark red represents the hostility misqueers face for one’s identity. ☘︎ the bird symbol is a pigeon, which i picked as being a well known outcast animal. pigeons lived alongside humanity until they were deemed useless when no longer needed to deliver messages, and are now demonized as vermin. i feel like their story has a lot of reflections with fellow queers being condemned in their own community. ☘︎ the X symbol is a common symbol of something being wrong or incorrect, which the misqueer identity is seen as at its core.
☘︎ this term may be used by anyone who fits under these categories or otherwise feels like an outcast queer individual, and is not affected by any other stance, other than those who are discriminatory against any of these categories.
