So I picked up the dmc games very recently, and it's honestly been such a joy. The first game was a blast, loved it, and honestly want to try my hand again in hard mode!!
However I am also itching to get to the 3rd and 5th titles respectively as I have heard they are the most enjoyed and universally loved of the franchise so I thought alright let me boot up 2 and work my way through this.
Now I was warned by friends that the second title errrr leaves a lot to be desired. That's alright, I thought, "I've dealt with old janky bad games before. What's another?" As I booted it up and gave it a try...
well.
It's certainly something. and by something, I mean it was okay... I guess?? but man, I felt an immediate longing for the way combat and movement felt in the first game. the 2nd was like a paler copy... it tried to be "it" but flashier and somehow flopped on the foundation of said combat systems feeling entirely. I understand that the second game went through developmental crunch hell, so it's really not the devs' fault, tbh but man. yeah. it leaves a lot to be desired and that was my first impressions.
anyways all this to say I couldnt even get past the second mission because my port version on the switch is bugged lmfaooooo theres a section where orbs I need to shoot in order to open the door are supposed to appear??? and they just dont. found out one other guy also experienced this.
