In fact it's often good to get some high protein in their diet, some rat owners use dog food for that.
I put dog food in my rats' food mix for example.

In regards to change and symptoms in all that, different symptoms can manifest themselves over time. When I was young, I was diagnosed with ADD. As the years went on, it seemed I'd grown out of it a bit as symptoms subsided, only to come back with more symptoms later on, and I was diagnosed with ADHD. It's not all cut and dry, black and white. Our brains are extremely complex and constantly changing.
Yes and I may be developing depression and an anxiety disorder.
However, I'm not going to self diagnose, I need to see a doctor about it but can't afford one right now.
