Parsee :
Canon bit, Parsee can survive both off of her jealousy of others or people being jealous of her. Given she’s weak and stuck in a cave next to a bridge that no one uses, very few people are jealous of her.
As a Hashihime, Parsee was once a human who committed suicide after being jilted by her lover. She quickly got her revenge, so she’s not focused on her grudge, but as a jealousy spirit her very existence is tied up in jealousy. If she doesn’t envy others she will cease to exist. Over the years she’s developed a twisted peace with that.
Because she can feed off the jealousy of others towards her, she’s actually somewhat kind to weak people she meets. It’s her nature to be spiteful, but she won’t attack those weaker then her. Those stronger then her get a face full of bullets every time, so she doesn’t interact with the rest of the Touhou cast much. Only Yuugi is willing to put up with that shit.
It might be possible to transform her into a different youkai, but Parsee would resist that. If nothing else the process is dangerous. So she stays at her bridge, fighting the strong often, helping the weak and lost rarely, and drinking with Yuugi when the oni insists on sticking around after the fight. It’s a miserable life, but it’s all hers.
