“Last time on Sonic X! Tails (@highflyingmechanic), Cream, and Cheese spent the rest of Cream’s birthday at her tea party after putting an unfortunate end to an out-of-control Eggsel, who was once Tails’ robot that he built as a present for Cream. After the party, they went their separate ways. But, our flying heroes will have to band together again to stop the next crisis because Bokkun (@mischievous-messenger) is up to no good again, but this time in the name of love? Tune in to see what happens right now on Sonic X!”

In Cream’s cozy home in Green Hill, the small rabbit girl and her fluttering Chao friend Cheese were getting ready to have some fun dancing with their favorite cartoon character, Next. On this sunny afternoon, the Next Show was seconds away from airing again, as the show came on in the mornings, too. And as usual, Cream was very excited and looking forward to what kinds of new moves the fuzzy creature will teach, and the kinds of catchy tunes that will play during the program. Opening the door and running out of her bedroom, she raced in her orange and yellow shoes towards the living room couch; long ears flowing as she ran while having a happy smile on her face.

“Hurry, Cheese!”

“Chao!”

Cream’s soft but happy giggles could be heard after those words, but stopped once she reached her destination. Turning around where her back faced the couch, she made a brief backwards jump so she could reach and take a seat. As for Cheese, he simply floated down and sat next to her since the Neutral Chao flew to get to the couch. Now that they were both comfortably seated, the two friends’ eyes were glued to the TV screen, waiting for their fuzzy friend to come on air. But, to both of their surprise, the news station flashed on air instead.

“Good afternoon! This is Scarlet Garcia, coming to you live about the latest craze going on right now!”

“Hm...?”

Her cinnamon brown eyes blinked twice in confusion, wondering what could be more important than dancing with Next right now? But, at the same time, the familiar news reporter still piqued Cream’s curiosity; causing the rabbit to listen with patience to hear what the ginger-haired woman had to say.

“The popular children’s show, Super Battle Babies has released a trading card game that is selling thousands of cards every minute! Kids, teens, and even young adults are getting in on the action, having their babies battle it out at the park, in restaurants, and even on rooftops dressed up as...well, their favorite babies! Doesn’t it remind you of a certain blue hedgehog?”

Yes. You heard that right. A team of people who were inspired by Sonic created a cartoon about super-powered babies that...try to be cool by having nap times on tree branches and rooftops until evil shows up. And said show happened to be one of Cream’s favorites! Absolutely excited, the rabbit girl looked over at Cheese with an even happier smile than she had when she was ready for the Next Show.

“Oh my goodness, Cheese. I love Super Battle Babies!”

“Chao chao!”

Cheese chirped, matching Cream’s happiness by raising his small arms in the air. For Cream, seeing people dressed in diapers while sucking on pacifiers didn’t weird her out in the slightest. She loved how everyone seemed to be in the Super Battle Babies spirit!

“As long as there’s a table or some kind of flat surface around, for Super Battle Baby fans, a battle can happen anytime, anywhere. Now, for the Next Show.”

“Oh, yay! After the Next Show, let’s ask Mother to buy us a pack.”

“Chao!”

“I wonder if anyone we know is a Super Battle Babies fan...”

She was going to need some playmates, after all. Although, she wasn’t going to have her cards battle like what happens in every episode in the TV show. Cream just wanted to collect the cards with her favorite babies on them and have them play and talk with the cards her friends had if they had any.
