Ah! So I got a request through FR mail regarding one of my posts (I'm seriously flabbergasted that someone even managed to find that one--it was a while ago, dang) about how I perceived Mirrors to sound. I thought it was kind of funny--I'm guessing it's because of that cool post from headcanonrising, that it got brought up. Basically, I was asked for a video/clip, but they're really hard to find, sadly. Like...without going into the full movie, I mean.
But! I finally managed to find a 'best of' video of clips from Pitch Black that basically sums up how I personally hear Mirrors!
Pack-wise, I see them functioning a lot like hyenas like a load of people do, but I hear them as Bioraptors. Now, if you've never seen Pitch Black, I highly suggest you give it a shot. It's one of my absolute favorite movies--and while it has some problems, I still enjoy it massively (the whole series is fantastic!) and think anyone who likes Mirrors might want to try it out!
Here is a clip--I've started it off at a scene where the Bioraptors first show up and you can watch it from there on out (careful--there are some spoilers (and some gore), if you do plan on watching it!) to see/hear these awesome alien babbus.
This is making me want to write Mirror pack shenanigans, hnnnmph.
