For drama I did a little redraw of Miranda from The Tempest, it's my mom's favorite play and coincidentally pretty fitting for mermay. Miranda is the daughter of an exiled Duke who live on a remote island after a shipwreck. Making her a mermaid seemed right especially since most artwork I find of her is her looking out longingly at the sea
