she refers to herself as split between parts which i think really emphasizes how she doesn't really know herself. with this statement we can get the sense that mirage views herself as a sum of many things, but not as an integrated person. sure, she has logic and emotion and probably a few others, but she never calls it My Logic or My Emotions. instead she separates them from herself - these are versions of me, this "My Emotional Side" rather than just. Me.
so i think mirage is aware of what she does and what actions she goes through every day, but she never stops to think about what they mean for her. she knows how sad and angry she sounds but she isn't even sure if that's how she really feels or if she has feelings in the face of death. you don't say this
unless you have some sense of self-awareness, and mirage really tries to. she knows herself but she's still struggling to connect with it. she isnt sure yet of who she is, only what
i dont think mirage ultrakill even knows thats she's depressed btw
also mirage is forever transfem to me but i do understand other trans interpretations of her character. however its necessary for me to underscore that mirage would probably either 1) go entirely unlabeled with regards to her gender (either out of difficulty finding a label that feels correct or because she doesnt give a shit) Or 2) find a really vague and broad label to house herself under. it is clear to me that mirage is not very good at understanding her own thought processes and sense of self yet, so it seems unlikely to me that she would go for microlabels or be heavily invested in the specifics of how she identifies
