after fussing over herself for a little while in the mirror minnie turns to face her roommate and offers a toothy smile as she glances down at herself. “what do you think of my outfit?” she skims her hands down her body, tugging at the pretty tiny crop top she’s wearing. “the shirt, specifically. i don’t know if it’s very me but… you know, it’s made of girlfriend material.”

“my ex-girlfriend is here  — god, of course she’s here. i think the universe is laughing at me.”

“i was thinking we should do another one of out mate-dates soon. it’s been... forever.” admittedly, the need to call them ‘mate-dates’ is definitely unnecessary; friends hanging out definitely covers it. yet, minnie is trying to gauge... something. “—but like... something proper this time. you know? dinner and a movie.” 

“have you got it?” peering around the edge of her bathroom door minnie played the part of someone genuinely distressed. the truth being told? she might’ve found the spider outside and brought it into her apartment just to have an excuse to call them. it was pathetic and she knew it but it was fair to say she was desperate. “it’s like the size of my hand!”

so maybe she’d invited them over to study... and maybe that had grown old after five minutes. maybe she’d never really planned on doing any studying at all. “kind of hot in here, don’t you think?” when minnie pulls her sweatshirt off there’s nothing on beneath it; which may or may not have been planned. a few beats of silence pass before she clears her throat. “do you really want to study when i have my tits out?” 

“could you just.... i don’t know. be happy for me?”
