I don't know who else to send this to but imagine Eva and Vilde bonding over mutual loneliness, like Vilde is always surrounded by people but she's constantly looking for more validation. In the same way Eva's season was all about her trying to find herself and in that have friends who actually know her and love her as she is. She's slowly been learning who she is and what she wants from life and we see that with every season. Vilde needs to learn to do the same, they can together.

and yes!! tbh i’m so proud of how far eva has come like,, remember in s1 when she tied her self-worth to her relationship with jonas, but now she’s learned to love herself and value herself as a person. like you said, i think vilde struggles with that too? like s1 eva, she doesn’t seem to think very much of herself, and constantly evaluates her self-worth according to how boys see her (which is definitely a hallmark of compulsory heterosexuality, but i won’t get into that). the difference is that vilde has a much louder personality than eva, so her over the top behaviour to mask her insecurities might be overlooked by most people. but not eva.
eva, who knows what it feels like to not know who you are, to feel worthless because you’re a little lost and confused, to only see value in yourself when a boy loves you. eva would see right through vilde’s mask (side note: eva keeps giving vilde these really Soft looks recently, and my heart can’t take it), and she understands what vilde might be going through enough to not push her, but you can bet she’d make sure to be a constant presence by vilde’s side, to offer her love and support and the occasional nudge in the right direction when vilde is exceptionally lost.
eventually, there’ll be a big Breakdown of some sort. it’s kind of inevitable, with the way vilde bottles everything inside. she’s bound to explode at some point, and eva is there; she’s right there, holding vilde’s hand, because she’s been where vilde is and she refuses to let vilde go through this alone. after this is when vilde decides she’s tired of putting herself down, and eva teaches vilde how to love herself, loves vilde enough for the both of them on days when vilde doesn’t have the energy to. it’s a process, and it’s hard, and sometimes eva feels the old insecurities and anxieties of past lingering in the back of her mind. but they have each other, and that’s enough for them.

yes!!! im so glad you also saw compulsory heterosexuality subtly hinted at in her season - this is exactly what i meant
vilde’s general attitude towards boys reminds me very much of the early days of my own struggle with comp het. and i’m not trying to say that vilde’s self-worth issues will magically go away when she realises she’s a lesbian, but i do think it’d be a huge step in the right direction, bc she’ll finally understand why she seeks attention from boys as a form of validation, and learning that she doesn’t actually like boys would make her take a step back whenever she finds herself wanting boys to like her. it might keep her from diving head first into obsessive crushes or getting into relationships just to reassure herself that she’s wanted, bc now that she’s aware of what she wants (i.e. not boys), it’ll be harder for her to completely suppress that in her pursuit of boys, like she used to. plus, accepting herself would play a big part in her learning to love herself as well.
