Chris and I built a miniporch.

In our old apartment we had a balcony and we used to sit out there and people watch, talk about the day and on occasion see who could throw something into the pool. After a while It sort of became a tradition, every Sunday after work we would race home grab a beer from the fridge, go out to the balcony and kill the rest of the day.

We chose to move out of our apartment on July 1, 2011 in order to save some money for a cross country road-trip we've been talking about for a while.

Our new place is cool, definitely not as cool as our old place but i'm very happy with it. We continued our Sunday tradition but instead of a balcony we sat on the roof. It was rather uncomfortable because of the slant of the roof and there was nowhere to put anything. 

We didn't ask the home owner if she'd be cool with the miniporch, we just threw it up. It's very sturdy and a super awesome spot to hang. We have these really nice cushion chairs that dont have legs, they're sort of like super comfortable baseball stadium seats, that we use to sit on. I have a great seat for the summer.
