Wubbo Ockels' ESA patch includes flags from countries that at least in our timeline only joined ESA in the 1990s after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Is the Eastern Block and its influence different (smaller?) in FAM timeline? Don't think so.
The real Wubbo Ockels flew with STS-61A and died of cancer in 2014; he was the professor of aerospace engineering at TU Delft.
