S E T. 3 I love these mull printed paintings with dark black magnetic pigment. This pigment called “Sable Wave” is a ferrimagnetic oxide of iron, being the most magnetic material on earth. It isn’t magnetic as a paint but in powder form it’s just like playing with those fun magnetic games you had as a kid! Fun Facts This material guides eels to their breeding grounds in the Bermuda Triangle, Monarch butterflies to Mexico and it’s in the beaks of homing pigeons and in our frontal cortex!
