I recently found an old voice recorder I purchased years ago for podcasting purposes. COVID hit shortly after I bought it, and Zoom-like conference calls got so good the need to meet in person for podcasts nearly dried up.
I have a lot of rants in the tank I would love to share via an audio medium, and I know a handheld voice recorder is not the best way to do that. Still, its rudimentary presentation and raw recording functionality make me want to produce content with it.
This first post is about the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. It was recorded in real time, with no edits (outside of automatically trimming dead air). It's a pure stream-of-consciousness dump. I'm not looking to open a wider conversation about the topic, because I know how fractured political discussions quickly become.
This post (and I imagine future audio posts) is simply me expressing my thoughts in an easy-to-produce medium. A real brain-to-internet idea. I'm literally not an expert on anything but Ninja Turtles, but I feel like my opinion is informed enough to analytically speak on this and other topics.
Enjoy, or don't, either way, just leave me alone. This is coping.
Cheers!
