Hi friends! In case you forgot, I have another Etsy shop called My Type Paper Co.!
I’ve just created this latest template and I have to say, I’m pretty pleased with myself. This is a more streamlined and nice looking version of the way I journal when I really need to focus on the positive. This method of journaling has come out a few times during the last few months and has really helped me when days were really hard. Often when we’re journaling we focus on everything that is wrong, everything that we hate or is making us feel like total shit. It’s easy to get caught in a loop with that type of journaling if we stay there too long that just makes us feel lower and lower. Personally I find a lot of self-care trackers to be totally overwhelming and make me focus on the things I should be doing, but I’m not making me feel even worse. This printable is meant to be the opposite of that. The intention with this printable pdf journal page is to help you focus on the positive and bring some light into your life when it isn’t the easiest and to keep things simple when life is overwhelming. Start by checking in when you wake up in the morning. Track your mood, what you’re feeling grateful for in that moment (don’t limit yourself, you can be grateful for having a good dream, waking up with your cat, seeing it’s a sunny day (or a rainy one if you prefer!), knowing that you have ice cream in the freezer that you can’t wait to get in to.) then set your intention. Finally list your mini-milestones. If you’ve been with me for a while you know how important mini-milestones are to me. They are simple bite-sized tasks that can help make things feel more manageable. Think small. Smaller. (Yes, getting out of bed counts as a mini-milestone if that’s a gold star moment for you!). These broken down tasks allow you to check things off during your day and will help you feel like you’re getting somewhere even if it only means an inch forward in the grand scheme of things. If you’re feeling like shit, this can be SO helpful and is really important. So don’t skip this part. In the evening you will check in again. Track your mood (are you feeling a bit better tonight?), what made you smile today? What are you looking forward to tomorrow? What can you let go of to make tomorrow a better day? Print your pages out and keep them in a binder to help track your progress or some people use these on their ipad and just type over top of the fields provided. Whatever works for you. I hope you love this journal template as much as I do. Find it and others at My Type Paper Co.
