Pure Air Heat Pump Cleaning
How Often is it Necessary to Clean a Heat Pump?
The Heat Unit filters should be cleaned periodically, about once every month or two, depending on usage and air quality.
Booking a full heat pump cleaning anywhere in Antigonish, Port Hawksbury, or Cape Breton will keep your machine running at it’s top efficiency, save you money on power, eliminates mold and inhibits future mold build up.
If the head unit is left uncleaned for too long and starts to develop mold, this will be distributed around your home in the air by the fan.
If in doubt, give us a call or e-mail : [email protected] and we’ll talk you through checking and even give you advice on how to clean the unit.

HOW TO CHECK IF IT NEEDS A DEEP CLEAN:
Take a flashlight and look between the louvres (or air vents/grills) at the bottom of the head unit (see pic below)
Look into the back and at the ‘blower wheel’. This is a cylinder that runs the length of the machine and spins to distribute the air. Moisture can sit here and more often than not, it is built up with dust, dirt, gunk and often mold.
If your unit hasn’t been deep cleaned in over a year or more, chances are there is a lot of build up here that needs to be flushed out.
Take a flashlight and look in-between the grills at the bottom of the head unit. When we perform a Mini-Split Deep Clean we remove all covers, spray soak the coil, and flush all this out to a sparkling shine.
