Bringing back the Brunei Cabinet project! *
What I wanted to share was two interesting views that I was able to make with Airtable:
Age at Appointment - List of senior officials showing the age at which they are appointed to that position, may include prior appointments
Women Senior Government Officials (Current) - List of women currently holding TSUT, SUT, and Ministerial positions
I'm kind of excited about these, I'd love to see a full list of women senior officials! And I think lists of ages at appointment is interesting. But I haven't updated this database for a while and the data is still being slowly transferred over from the original spreadsheet I made.
My screenshots above are showing wrong data btw, with names that are no longer holding certain positions, and appointment titles (used as IDs) that are probably inappropriate. Will hopefully fix in due time.
Okay, seems I never posted (or I mistagged) the part where I started moving the data to Airtable (I love Airtable). The spreadsheet was getting unwieldy, and moving to a database made sense.
So my Brunei Cabinet base is here: Click me
List of current Cabinet: Click me
If you're confused, I don't blame you. The nice thing about spreadsheets is that they can make more sense upon first glance. A data dump, not so much.
The data is nowhere near complete, I don't even have the current cabinet on there. Data is still being slowly transferred from the spreadsheet to this Airtable.
The project name 'Brunei Cabinet' is actually wrong, because Permanent Secretaries and Deputy Permanent Secretaries are not part of the Cabinet. Just seemed a catchier project name than 'Brunei Senior Officials'.
It's such a pain dealing with long titles hahaha and I confess I'm uneasy at the title-less 'short names' I had to use to identify appointments.
