The points of a wide spread collar are also much longer. A wide spread collar is definitely a bold choice so it’s best suited for someone who’s quite confident in a suit and is ready to take some fashion risks.In addition, ties worn with a wide spread collar need to have bigger knots, like a full or half Windsor.

Mini collar – If you’re looking for a modern twist on a traditional point collar, a mini collar is a great option. With its smaller points, a mini collar pair swell with a skinnier tie and also produces a slightly more casual look. Men with smaller faces should opt for a mini collar as it helps to make your shirt look proportioned to your head.

Tuxedo collar – A tuxedo, or winged, collar is the way to go when it comes to formal attire. Unlike traditional turndown collars, the points of a tuxedo collar stand upward and point horizontally producing a winged shape. Tuxedo collars are often worn with bow ties, where the collar points are tucked behind.
