#mini arc

The spell was a simple one. Just a simple scry to the other end of his spire. His eyes closed as he felt himself travel up and out. His vision focused over the city above his tower. With a flick of his wrist and a flash of purple energy his view shot back down traveling through the doorway of his spire. Winding quickly through the halls his spell gave him full vision of his house. He barreled towards Tiala’s door. Suddenly the spell vanished his vision focusing on the room he was in. “Wh-What!? How!?” There was a desperation in his voice. Could Eve had done this? How would she know how to ward off divination like that? She was just a simple sell-sword.

Cold sweat dropped from his brow. How could this be happening. How could this be happening!? His fist fell again on the desk with a resonating thud a spark of uncontrolled arcane dancing out into the corners of the room. “No matter. I’ll let them have their secret little meeting. In the end Tiala will always be subservient to me.” His lips curled into a devilish smile.

The warm water certainly did its job to soothe him. He’d been far to stressed lately and needed this. “Whatever my sister is planning I’ll stop her.” He idly spoke to himself. His hand waved back and forth as he let a spark of purple arcane energy dance around his fingers. “Tiala’s corruption is repressed by the wards and I’ve already made it clear to Eve that I’m the stronger sibling.” He had no reason not to be confident. Tiala couldn’t do much in a fight besides dodge and Eve was just decent at best at swinging those swords she kept on her hips. “I’ll subdue you both... I’ll kill Evearra and get her off my back. As for Tiala... I do miss sharing a bed with my wife.” He was calm, collected, as he spoke to the cantrip around his fingers. There was a fight coming, one he was going to win.

The idea pained him, to have to hurt Tiala. But if Eve was giving her any thoughts of rebellion, of trying to leave him again, well, he’d have to make sure she never thought those again. And he had the perfect spell to make her see the error of her thinking. She should be here with him, even now. He yearned to have her in this bath with him. “Soon my dear, we will be happy again.” He reassured himself clenching his fist causing the cantrip to crackle and pop as it dissipated into nothingness. “I’m sorry my love. This will hurt you than it hurts me.” He grinned pulling himself out from the water.

He walked slowly through his spire. Something had changed within him. He wasn’t worried, he knew everything was going to be fine. Entering his chambers he donned his robes, simple, yet elegant. It was his battle attire. Calling a servant in he waited for the young Quel’dorei woman to enter his room with a bow. “Dyali be a doll and stand there.” He said calmly. With a wave of his hands the woman’s eyes widened suddenly before glossing over with a purple film. She was surrounded, men with swords all closing in on her. A scream was all she could manage to get out as the spell overtook her mind. Her knees buckled dropping her to the floor where she writhed in very real pain. “Perfect, perfect. This will do nicely.” The Arcanist grinned letting his focus on the still halt leaving the servant to lay on the floor, shaking and crying. Slowly he walked up pulling Dyali to her feet. “Get out of my sight, you can cry elsewhere.”
