Mini skull in progress
Longing for my mini 221B I've devoured pics and hung out in 221B on google maps.
A small but significant thing to start with is the skull painting.
I found that Sherlockology had done a downloadable mockup, so I printed and coloured it.
Sherlockology quoted artist John Pinkerton on what the painting actually consists of. Apparently the outer layer is silver leaf. So I had to try to replicate that.
Here the skull is flipped and backlit so I can trace the white parts with silver.
Next up is putting the parts together.
