After looking at a handful of Ming Thein photos, this one was the most appealing. The photo is clear that there are two areas being shown/ reflecting by the use of the window. The top part of the image is a view of the outside area of the building as you can see a woman, buildings, cars, etc. While the part being reflecting is whats on in the inside which you can make out to be a series of bicycles as well as bike holders you can chain it to. What I particularly like about this photo is how your able to see one part easily while the other makes you ponder about it more as to what it could be. Which I think goes along with what Thein says about “photographers convey their ideas cleanly to the end viewer, while still leaving room for imaginative interpretation”. I feel that the photograph is trying to illustrate how nothing isn’t always how it appears. That there is something underneath of what you first see. I chose this photograph because it makes me want to ponder at it longer. #mingthein #dediosphotography #photography #inspirationalsundays
