Forty Days of Frankenstein, Day Twenty-Eight: As I mentioned, I don’t really collect Frankenstein toys, because in general toy collecting isn’t just expensive, it takes up a lot of room.  The one toy that that’s not really true of is Lego minfigs.  They hardly take up any space, and don’t really cost that much, relatively speaking.  The Frankenstein monster has been turned into a minfig five different times, as far as I can tell, each one with significant differences from the others.  This was the first one, in 2002, a part of Lego set #1382, the Scary Laboratory.  I love, about this first attempt, the fact that the designers tried to use Lego studs on each side of the Monster’s head as temple electrodes.  Also, the greenface is a great color, and the zipper across the forehead is a nice touch.  Also, please note that the Monster’s Pretty Good Sport Coat™ has more stitches than he does, and that also he’s got himself a Pretty Good Belt™.
