every harmful thing he does that ppl hate about him is misconstrued in the worst possible way (especially due to the game/s' lack of a more visually diverse cast, hence why i personally try to make some candidates look more racially diverse), and it would do everyone some good to realize the intent of the writing and how it's meant to come off is more to show how much he's struggling to keep things the same, and how it ironically actively causes his sister to want to leave, and shouldnt be a case of moral right/wrong bc it's meant to be nuanced

every harmless thing he does that ppl hate about him are either autistic-coded (speaking from experience) or just a hatred for what's gender non-conforming or nerdy about his appearance (speaking from experience). and the fact that it causes a landslide of posts and comments everywhere saying unsavory and emasculating things against him tells me these people would not be kind to me as a living person either, bc theyre putting their "fictional" ableism on display for all eyes to see bc "look at this character i want to hurt badly! he talks about nothing but his special interest and can't read the room! i wanna cuck him so so much! surely these are things karen would want me to do to her most precious childhood friend before i go propose to her while rick's watching! so funny!"

one time i convinced him to play in the rain at night just bc i know he hasnt had fun like that in a while and wants to. the day's work is over, so why not? he seemed reluctant but quickly got back into it as if he'd missed doing it for all those years. i'd been too sheltered to try, but ive always wanted to, so it felt like i was both egging him on and being guided by him. we stayed close by a light just to be safe with where we were stepping, and watching it glow against his damp, laughing face is a snapshot i keep in my mind often

he's been trying to get along with the dog better and gives him some pets and treats but licking and coming along to the family farm is still off-limits
