2nd image was an earlier version that I wasn’t fully satisfied with. HCs:

Makena’s dyes work more like bedrock than Java, with some realism-ish logic thrown in

Makena’s note book has ratios of dyes needed to create different colors (She has a specific page dedicated to Kai and the colors he uses)

Kai: the mage

they didn’t end up giving Sunny’s arm Fire aspect, but it does have blast resistance and unbreaking, so Noor is content (Kai was aiming for fire aspect, but can’t always control how enchantments will turn out)

hcs:

Gender fluid (he/she/they)

Enchanting takes a lot of energy and focus

They are self taught, so perhaps if someone could teach them then they wouldn’t end up overextending themself (they also can’t read enchanting script, but then again, can anyone?)

They also do potions although they somewhat share this niche with Efe

Efe tends to provide them with gold to practice on and blaze powder for potions, and in exchange Kai provides enchantments and company

Because gold is easier to enchant it doesn’t take nearly as much energy and Kai really enjoys when they get the chance to enchant some

They will overwork themself to do things for others

They use makeup to cover up/lessen their eye bags. They buy pigments from Makena

hcs:

Kai is the main person that enchants things

enchanting takes a lot of energy and focus to be good at it

Sunny really wants to get their hand enchanted with fire aspect so they can light tnt without needing to carry a flint and steel

Kai knows this is a bad idea

Kai also cant say no to someone so excited

well, I know that they don't have pacific genders but I give them! Kai is a boy, Makena is a girl, Efe is a girl, Noor is a boy and Sunny is also a boy!
