Examine the nature of everything you observe. 💫 My cousins from California were in town visiting my mom in MS- so of course my mom HAD to FB video messenger me to tell me they were there....and looking for me. 👀😌 Anyway, my cousin gets on the phone talking to everyone else in the room...” ooooh, I remember when Kira was so little and just quiet.....” [insert slow laugh].... “She was a cute, skinny little girl and just watched everything and everybody.... didn’t say a word.” 😌.... I just smiled in agreement, and said, “ you learn a whole ‘lot about people just by observing.” 🧐 I’m still watching. Observing. Being mindful of the “reflections” (in people) I connect with. The sobering thought in all of this is, every connection you make is reflecting back to you some version of yourself. Your higher or lower self. Having this perspective makes me a little more compassionate. Because I’m fully aware of the moments when I need others to extend a little more compassion for me. Sometimes it’s just that simple.
