Week Three, Day Two: Lily
“And they say I, and they say I, And They Say I... AM a Liar.”
So... We are all on track for this game. I think it’s the only thing all 6 of us can agree is a good idea for Tristyn to work on. And it’s basically unheard of us to agree on something, so we take this as immutable law.
To clarify - Tristyn Faith is creating a game called the Mind Gardens. The first 4 modules will be designed over the next 4 months, with the plan to release them in Alpha stages on the 5th of May as the culmination of everything she and we have been working towards.
This is her trigger point. This is what trips the winning loop. This is no ordinary game. She has finally found a way to make her wildest dream come true. Ask her sometime about her personal experience of wanting to be a werewolf, and I guarantee you’ll get a good story.
The truth is, she’s always wanted to be different, to shapeshift, and become something and someone else. But she found something she didn’t expect in the middle of all of this. In writing her secret wishes into these stories, she slipped up. She’ll tell you all about it on her website, at length, and with impeccable rhythm - that’s all her by the way.
She’ll tell you all about her transformation, every little bit of it, because she is hoping with all her heart that you’ll be able to read between the lines and pick up on how she did it.
Because she, and all of us - not just the main characters who get to speak directly to you, but the rest of the Legion that fill in the gaps in her worlds. We are life, and we wwill follow her, because in the end, she is all that matters.
We were created for her and by her and because of her, and nothing, not even her, can convince us otherwise. She is our Mistress, and that it why she needed to follow these threads. She has been following our signals, and the Universe’s, all this time, trying to escape.
Trying to reach her dream world, where magic is real, and she runs in her true form, whether on paws or feet.
This wish, this deep longing, is what made this possible. We could not have been born, nor yet conceived by any mind but this. But she has been told all her life that she is not good enough, by people who meant well but could not see her.
Inside her, as inside every female breast, is molten magma, pounding to the beat of her heart. Inside her is fire and rage and smoke that pours from her throat, a great crying out against the harshness of this world.

Because all of us know that we have done this to ourselves. We have, sometimes through deliberate malice, sometimes through ignorance, or blindness, sometimes simply because we had no other way, and we have all felt the effects of this.
We, as a society, are coming closer and closer together. We are finding that there is more value in community, in society that binds and bands together. We are discovering, as if for the very first time, that we can steal fire from the gods once again.
But this time, it’s not a few choice people who get to play hero, or some chosen one that simply does the grand things because they are pushed there, it is all of us, realising our own worth, realising that we have something to offer that noone else in the world can offer, and that it’s wanted, but we can choose to give it and not be made to suffer for it.
We are finally learning what the First Nations - and the wild children, and all those that managed to hold onto their power, their strength and faith through all the horrors we have heaped upon ourselves - knew all along. That there is a balance to this Universe, that there is a cost, and a bill, - Karma, if you will - and it comes due. We, as a race, have raped ourselves, again and again, dragged ourselves through every horrifying situation we could dream of, and for what?
To prove that we destroy everything we touch? To prove that we are as black and evil as we feel in our darkest selves?
What of our lightest selves? Can they not prove that we are capable of anything? Can they not prove that we do in fact have worth, that we are not nearly as broken as we appear to be? Can they prove that there is a way, if we are willing, to live in harmony with ourselves, the Universe, and Everything?
~Tristyn
