In addition to the regular cast, an impressive roster of supporting artists included Maurice Denham, Adam Faith, Honor Blackman, Ralph Bates (Poldark), Amanda Pays, Ronald Lacey, James Faulkner, and Garfield Morgan (The Sweeney).
It was written by Andrew Payne (1949-2024), who wrote 12 episodes of the main series, and went on to write for other iconic series including Lovejoy and Midsomer Murders, and create the Richard Griffiths hit, Pie in the Sky.
