On the train home from Minamicon! This year has been an absolute blast- I’ve really enjoyed the event! Cosplay wise I had a very fun but chill con with only one cosplay a day (the horror)- suit Astolfo (the antithesis of maid Astolfo) made an appearance, our Bungo Atray Dogs groyp was AMAZING, and Fate Dabilonia part two was EXCELLENT! I got to run two panels this year (Fate mythology part 2 which I’ll reprise for Hibana hopefully), and cosplay on a budget. I think both panels went well and I’ll be doing some new content this year that I can add onto for next year too! Other fun things I got to do this weekend were the Three Minute Presentation challenge (which is always a blast- I have SO many more presentations lined up), and also the Anime Court where I defended SAINT SEIYA as the best anime of all time! I have to say though, this con had two really big highlights. The first was our Bungo group performing SHAKESPEARE AT THE MASQUERADE. I am so glad we performed it well enough to be understood and enjoyed by the audience. I am sure in the coming year we will think of other things to do as skits! The second was all because of Ti Daley! Ti sacrificed a lot of time to run Subpar Robot Wars this year which I WAS EXCITED ABOUT THE ENTIRE TIME I WANT A ROBOT. But then disaster struck and I couldn’t make it to the con early on Friday but Ti was nice enough to take out if his own time to let me build my robot on Saturday instead (massive shoutout to Tanner and Mariam being the only people who would build it with me). And THEN WE GOT TO FIGHT WITH IT!!!! SERIOUSLY Subpar Robot Wars was the BEST convention event I have ever attended and been part of WHY IS THIS NOT A THING AT EVERY CON?!?!?! Anyway, you will see the return of a new and better Big Ajax S O O N !
