Iused to teach my neighbor. She was a little girl, with clear big declarativeeyes who lived right opposite my home on rent. This one day she tells me that her family was moving away. It was herlast class and before she left, she hands me a small box and says “Miss.” I lookedat the box and said “yes, it’s a box.” She waited. So I studied it carefullythinking if she wanted me to say something more. It was decorated with fragmentedpieces of old shiny bangles all astringed together with glue. Then after abrief nod, she whispered shyly, “it’s for you.”
Now,the box holds all my fancy earrings.
