Deep Trouble is a 5 minute long animation pilot made by the group Project Blue. It features a detective turtle, a beautiful femme fatale and lots of deep sea noir.
This was the final and official version of the animation that premiered at the SAE student showcase on Thursday 25th, August.

Found it. At the time of making the storyboards and the animatic, the character designs were still in development so I had to keep things rough. That and literally spent 3 weeks on it trying to get the timing right and then making like hundreds of changes from feedback from my group and lecturer.

So this is my group work’s final animation for this trimester. Organisation wasn’t the best and we got really behind fast so it was a rush to meet deadlines. That plus 3 3D kids and 3 2D kids working on a full 3D thing didn’t go well. Told them not to put me on animation and of course they did :( Still got out of it though so my sanity is still here.
Anyway I did textures for the background assets but most of my work was in pre-production on the animatic and storyboards. If I find them I will upload them too.
My first showreel! Wish I had more stuff to put in it but I do not, maybe in the next show reel I make I will have more to put in. This was part of an assignment and I got some great tips from my lecturers for improving it.
Test render for my 3D animation. Second shot is extended for a title sequence like in my 2D one.
And not very happy with the final shot so that may be changed as well. Since tomorrow I need to render, not a lot of changes will be made to because I still have to get on with texturing.
