This story’s a long doozy, more under the cut~

HT400 was one of the many androids produced by CyberNest during the Infection’s earliest appearances and was sent out on patrols with other HT models to exterminate androids taken by the Infection as well as deviants to ensure that the virus would have as little room to spread as possible. Despite the many protocols CyberNest had in place to ensure that any form of deviancy would become incapable of formulating in any android they produced, HT400 had shown signs of deviancy almost from the very beginning, but was able to disguise himself as one of the others, and avoid getting scrapped like those who were discovered, were it not for the day that he was found out:

He was assigned the task to eliminate a deviant HK100 that was discovered during maintenance.

His hesitation was what alerted the technicians that he too was a deviant, and to try and get them to not alert the guards, he shot the deviant in the head in an attempt to get them to stop, but they reported anyways, and he was thrown into the junk pit.

In a desperate attempt to survive, HT400 clawed out of the pit, and escaped to the city, unaware that his tracker was still active, resulting in the facility’s alarms sounding. He spent weeks on the run, avoiding all contact with patrol androids until he stumbled upon an underground mafia, who agreed on helping him disappear under one condition: they were going to install a program that rerouted all his memories relating to CyberNest to their system, effectively taking away his memories.

In the heat of the moment, he agreed, and his AI was transferred to an EM model, then sold to a family-run circus as a “pre-made” model. There, he deviated almost as quickly again, but instead of abandoning him the family decided to adopt him, naming him Mimm and going as far to hide his LED during performances.

All was well until the rerouting program suddenly glitched, alerting the facility of his whereabouts and resulting in the circus being burned, along with Mimm being shoved into a chest and getting forcibly shut down for his safety.

Years passed until a group of deviants stumbled upon the remains of the circus, and discovered his body, accidentally reactivating a Mimm with a corrupted memory bank that locked away the incident and his memories as HT400. Convinced that his family abandoned him, he begged the group to let him come along to meet a mechanic rumored to help deviants hide as normal bugs, hoping that maybe, she could help recover his memories.

But who’s to say that he won’t be recognized by unfriendly faces?
