It keeps its distance. Watches him

witnessing this destructive act is
indeterminable. This could be
mistaken for apathy.

Because my mom is dead. [ Toss! Smash. Another toss. Miss. Picks it up from the ground and tosses it up again. Another miss. Grits his jaw. Toss! Shit.. ]

when ppl have "i do not tag triggersâ in their rules im just like well why the fuck not it takes two seconds and saves me an evening of heartache and trauma ... i really donât understand and if someone could explain to me why people will just flat out refuse to tag triggers iâd be curious to know but overall i just ... donât get it and probably never will
⢠what fads/trends are you so over?
there is no reason a theme needs to be so very tiny with unreadable fonts/font sizes, pale font colors against a pale background, teeny-tiny itty-bitty icons ... there is no reason. and a lot of people defend against this critique by saying it is just their aesthetic to which i say cultivate a better aesthetic because like ... how wildly inaccessible ?? if people have to zoom in really close on your theme/copy and paste the text into a new document to read it, like ... screw your aesthetic, dude ... accessibility > aesthetic, any day of the weekÂ
a few years ago i was like âahh just let people do what they wantâ and i guess i canât stop people from making and maintaining bad inaccessible themes but if i were able to physically throw this trend into the woodchipper and be done with it forever i would have already ...
in conclusion ... accommodating someoneâs disability isnât special treatment ... cultivate an accessible aesthetic ... and donât be ableist ... thank u
â what has made you completely lose your chill?
this one is less general and more specific to me/my character but like ... assuming millie is less intelligent by virtue of her finding difficulty in articulating thoughts into sentences ... câmon ...
this one just annoys me because itâs like ... intelligence manifests in ways other than logical/verbal-liniguistic so like ... throw me a bone here ... assuming this ic is one thing but assuming it ooc and then presenting that incorrect assumption as fact ... you have got to be kidding me ...Â
i sound mildly inconvenienced at best here but this riles me up a lot too when it happens
âż what do you think about public call out posts?
i do not have much of an opinion on them ... or rather i havenât stewed on it enough to formulate an opinion.
i think, as with most things, they have their strengths and weaknesses. i like being aware of the goings-on in the rpc and knowing who to look out for bc i like to feel secure and grounded ... being aware of my surroundings/whatâs going on is of high priority to me
simultaneously i am willing to look critically at the nature of callout posts and the culture surrounding it, but not alongside racists/transphobes/homophobes/misogynists/ableists who are just upset that they got caught and are being held accountable for their actions lmao ...

there is only a few things these days that erik is better at than raven, and most of those things are things she canât help. dealing with mim is one of those things. it makes sense, to her, because erikâs had children and, for the semi-adult skin that mim wears, it is still very much a child, on the inside. and erik has held a daughter in his hands, in his arms. ravenâs never even seen a baby up close, and has never held one. sheâs never wanted to.
similarly, she doesnât know what to do with mim. how to deal with itâs strange mercury moods. raven doesnât have the experience that leads her to be able to understand mim, to be able to connect. and she doesnât have the time to learn and catch up to erik, either, not when thereâs so much on her plate -- their plate.
tension ricochets down her spine, a sudden sharp awareness when she walks into the room. paranoia prickling down her spine making her agitated and aggressive. her eyes, sharp, search the room with less gentleness than it should, especially when such a large part of her knows that it has to be mim. it couldnât be anyone else. ( could it? an insidious part of her mind whispers, could it? )
