#3503 - Millotia tenuifolia - Soft Millotia
First described in 1829 by French botanist Viscount Alexandre Henri Gabriel (vicomte) de Cassini from a specimen collected from King Georges Sound by Jules Sébastien César Dumont d'Urville, a French explorer and naval officer. de Cassini was an expert on plants of the Sunflower family Asteraceae, of which this is one. He named it after Claude-François-Xavier Millot, a French historian.
