Mariana had been surprised when Prisha reached out to her. She usually did her best to hide her troubles, but it seemed her stress had broken through the mask. She smiled softly, reveling faintly int the comfort Prisha was offering, hands softly playing with her hair but she couldn’t bring herself to explain her troubles. She knew it was something Prisha was good at. Prisha was a light and Mari didn’t want to bring darkness into her world. She wanted to protect her from the darkness of the world, or teach her to protect herself. She offered the woman a smile. “Thank you Prisha, I appreciate it but its nothing for you to worry about. I could however use a distraction, so how about we go to a self defense class? Or you could tell me all about your lover boy..your pick”

Carleigha frowned softly adjusting the pillow on her lap to ensure Cat was comfortable. She was worried for her. There wasn’t a time that she didn’t see her with a drink, especially not since Malachi left. Carly tried to talk to her, tried to help but to no avail. She’d reserved herself to being there for her the best she could. Carly smiled softly stroking Cat’s hair gently, she wasn’t sure how to make things better for her but she’d be here either way.

There was something so soft about holding hands. Maybe it wasn’t something lovers are meant to do, maybe it was too much affection but still he found himself reaching for hers. Sometimes they’d be walking through a crowd and he’d grip her hand to keep her with him, or they were in bed, in the throws of passion and his fingers would lace with hers against the bed. It wasn’t something he thought about, but it happened all the same. If he actually let himself think about it, he’d realize it calmed him. Like an anchor, it helped steady him, helped keep him afloat. If he let himself think about it, he may wonder if it was the same for her. He’d want it to be the solid ground she could reach for when everything and everyone else’s problems became too much. Atleast, if he let himself think about it.
