LOL, I mean I think to call it an argument would be giving it too much credit, the shit they were saying was basically the equivalent of the crazies in church speaking in tongues and calling it the word of the lord. 

Exactly this though. Like, with TVD it had buildup, and it was buildup with characters that we were familiar with and cared about and who had an established investment in MF. With TO it’s completely different, the only characters that we were even aware of were just dropped into the situation out of nowhere, and the stakes they were meant to have in the “war” weren’t believable. Out of all of the main characters the only ones who even had a legit reason for staying to fight for the city were Sophie and Marcel, and obviously Davina had a vested interest in the whole harvest drama, but other than that it was nothing and everyone else was basically a glorified spectator to a bunch of shit they had nothing to do with and weren’t even aware of until they arrived. More importantly, none of them had a reason to stay and fight for the city after the whole baby hex was removed.  

Although I gotta admit that I do love the whole plot of “some things are better off dead.”

You actually make a good point, TO has consistently lost audience that hasn’t come back, and they premiered lower in season 2 than they ended with in season 1, so actually premiering with a .4 leaves them in pretty much the same spot.

Totes a fair point and it annoys the shit out of me too.
