I like to imagine she doesn't say it very often anymore. But would sometimes calls him it in a more endearing way. Even after he became a professor.

And it makes Silver all flustered lol.

the prof likes history; he likes to tell tales of the worlds he's observed, fought for, and his past adventures with the now-queen and wife, Blaze, Sonic, and friends, but there are certain stories he's reluctant to tell.

i expanded upon it on my twitter a bit ago, though i do plan on reintroducing the premise by redrawing them eventually.

the basic gist is that its Silver/Blaze-centered, doing their usual thing, while showing few bits of Proto/Venice traveling to other universes, possibly witnessing or even in a kerfuffle with other Silver/Blaze variants (yes theres others). each variants has traits that are based on the main Silver and Blaze we know but with altered designs based on their beta concept artworks.

the main narrative idea is that as time passes with Silver and Blaze, Venice and Proto is seemingly getting closer to the main Sonic universe and to meeting the main Silver-Blaze.

they're actually the same as ever haha.

i tend to lean on the little things when it comes to them. just reminding the other to eat or noticing when they feel uncomfortable or unwell, help ease the other's burden, finishing each other's sentences, lean on each other's shoulders, nuzzling for comfort, etc etc.

the canon purist answer : the original pair will somehow emerge victorious. the revenge story answer : the "bad" pair wins,, but not without sacrifices and consequences. the shonen anime answer : the good guys end up working together to stop the "bad" pair who's grown stronger somehow, and they win. the "realistic" answer : nobody wins, since despite having different skills, they all have equal power output, but pacifists like Bronze fell first. the retcon answer : Prof Silver and White Space Silver stopped it from happening behind the scenes, making them "winners." the bad ending answer : The Inferno found this universe and destroyed everything. She wins.

Just curious for your opinion of the idea of Silver being a future relative or child of either Sonic, Shadow, Amy, etc...

It's pretty common in some AUs and while some of them do interesting things with it. For me, I think the main cast should never have that kind of relation with each other. At least in official stuff.

The closest thing I can think of that relates to this is Galahad being the illegitimate son of Lancelot. But that's Arthurian legend and it is very different from SatBK.

Looking forward to more of your art and AU.

i'd wager him being Galahad, which in itself limited to the book world, was just a nudge to reference Trunks-Vegeta since Sonic franchise took inspirations from Dragonball in one way or another, and thats it. its not even confirmed in SatBK the roles are the same, like how Sir Percival wasn't even a woman, yet Blaze is in his mantle.

anyway, my opinion? I don't care much, as in, i never thought he's related to anyone and I don't entertain the idea.

it kinda diminish his independent character to me, because the framing becomes "Its a good thing this guy is born, thanks to this other popular character continuing the bloodline", and then proceed to use that to flanderize him after.
