I did my homework about the great looking Oscillation 67! album that I posted the other day. It's old 30s/40s Swing era songs in 60s Swinging London versions played by session musicians. Most interesting: it was produced by Mike Vernon who also produced all the other 1967 Decca albums shown here (busy year for Mike and his friend John Mayall). In 1965 he founded Blue Horizon Records who had their breakthrough in 1968 with the first Fleetwood Mac album and became one of the most important labels for the British Blues Rock boom. The label dissappeared in the early 70s when the boom was over and bands like Fleetwood Mac changed to bigger commercial success. But that's another story. PS: I can recommend all these albums but don't expect too much from the Oscillation 67!
