◦ Mikasa confessed her feelings towards you right before you two joined the Scout Regiment.

◦The girl in question was very confident in telling you

◦This made you become a stuttering mess. I mean, she was so blunt, how could you not be?

◦“[Name], I need to tell you something important. Before we go, you need to hear this...”

◦“Oh, of course, what is it?”

◦“I... I have feelings for you, and not in the way you may think. I love you as in romantically. I want to be by your side, [Name]. I’m sorry for this, and I’m sorry for forcing you to listen to me. Even so, if you don’t accept my feelings that’s fine, but I’m never leaving you,”

◦She said it so bluntly and serious. How the hell were you supposed to respond?

◦“My god. Uh- ah- Thank you? I... really like you too... as in romantically! Like you said! I will accept your feelings, Mikasa!”

◦“[Name]...I’m so happy...” Mikasa started tearing up, this made you wrap your arms around her, hugging her. 

»Protection«

◦“[Name], I made a vow to protect you the day I confessed to you. You are very important to me. I will NOT loose you to a damned titan,”

◦You rushed after her using the ODM gear and yelled to Mikasa, saying “Get back here! It’s not safe!”

◦You ended up grabbing her and bringer her back to the troupe before she got herself hurt.

»Jealousy«

◦oKAY hear me out. She get’s jealous but doesn’t show it. 

◦She’s really secretive about her feelings so it’s up to you to read her.

◦When you’re talking to another girl, she may come up to you and hold the back of your jacket gently, as if to tell you ‘she’s here too’. 

◦ThIS MAKES ME SOFT WTF AND I’M THE AUThor OF THIS....

◦When you two have alone time, give her cuddles please!! 

◦She probably has insecurities about herself so pLEASE REASSURE HER.

- Her crush first developed back in your cadet days

- Mikasa’s known for her cold nature, that really wouldn’t change much if she had a crush on you

- However, she’d become more protective over you and try to be around you as much as possible without you noticing

- For example, during training she’ll often try to stand by you when you’re listening for instructions

- During mess hall time, she’ll often try to sit a few seats away from you or at the table next to yours

- If you guys are friends, she’ll often be seen walking around with you like how she does with Eren

- One of her top priorities would make sure you’re safe no matter what

- She’s never felt this way about anyone before (besides maybe Eren), and she doesn’t want to risk you getting ripped away from her

- She’s not a yandere by any means though, just overly protective

- She’s also the type to make sure you’ve been drinking enough water and getting enough sleep if you guys are already friends

- “(Y/N), how much did you sleep last night?”

- “I’d say six hours,”

- “That’s very unhealthy, you need at least eight,”

- “Mikasa, it’s not that big of a deal,”

- During expeditions, she gets all kinds of anxious

- Since she’s much more talented and skilled than you, she’ll often be with the Levi squad during expeditions

- This means she can’t keep an eye on you, which makes her worried

- If you guy are friends, she’ll usually walk over to you after expeditions and ask you if you’re okay and if you got injured at all

- However, you really don’t think much of it since she still keeps her stoic expression and monotone voice as she asks you

- “(Y/N), did anything go wrong during the expedition?”

- “What do you mean?”

- “Did you get injured at all?”

- If you did, she’ll probably be worried but obviously hide it

- She’ll also be mad at herself and your squad leader since she failed to protect you and your squad leader failed to keep you safe

- If you’re fine, she’ll probably remind you to drink water or something before she walks away

- Since she’s pretty emotionless, it’s hard to pick up on her having a crush on you

- She only blushes if someone accuses her of liking you, but even then she hides it pretty well

- “So, Mikasa, you hang around (Y/N) an awful lot, do you like her?” one of the girls would probably end up asking

- Her cheeks would probably be tinted a pink color as she denies it or just stays silent and pretends like she didn’t hear anything

- The only time she’s really gotten flustered is when you asked her if she liked someone

- “Hey, Mikasa, do you have romantic feelings for anyone?”

- She’d pause and just look at you with pink on her cheeks as words struggled to leave her mouth

- “I-I couldn’t say, I tend to n-not pay attention to romantic feelings,”

- “Makes sense, you never struck me as the kind of person to be romantically interested in someone besides maybe Eren,”

- During hand-to-hand combat training, everyone but you would notice how she’d go relatively easy on you, but not easy enough for you not to learn any techniques

- Yes, she never wants to harm you, but she also doesn’t want you to never improve because of her

- The first person to pick up on it was Ymir, but that was back in the cadet days

- If you and Mikasa were friends, Ymir would occasionally make comments to Mikasa like:

- “You and (Y/N) are pretty close, I sometimes wonder if you want you guys to be more than friends, she seems the same way around you,”

- If you and Mikasa aren’t friends, Ymir would probably make comments like:

- “You seem to try to be around (Y/N) a lot, and you look at her with an admiring stare, is possible you, Mikasa Ackerman, have romantic feelings?”

- Christa would often tell Ymir to knock it off, but she’d agree with her

- Mikasa would usually shrug it off and deny it or just walk away from the two

- After a while, Mikasa would start to drop subtle hints about her feelings for you

- She doesn’t often hug or touch you because she’s extremely touch-starved and doesn’t know how to be affectionate, but sometimes she’d brush her hand against yours when walking

- You were low-key kind of dense, so you didn’t pick up on it until people started telling you about it

- Over time, you noticed that she may indeed have feelings for you

- If you needed help (and you guys were friends) she’d be the first one who would want to help you

- If you were seen talking to another girl or guy and they were getting too close, she’d often walk by and flash a glare at the person

- If you were in an uncomfortable situation with another person, such as someone flirting with you when you’re clearly not interested, she’d ask you for help with something to get you out of the situation

- If you guys weren’t friends before, by the time you were in the Survey Corps, you guys were developing/developed a strong bond

- Though she still remained cold, sometimes she would be softer around you and she’d do whatever she can to help or protect you when you needed it

Extended:

- One day after training, you guys were walking back to the barracks

- Since you were in the Survey Corps, you all had your separate rooms

- Mikasa’s was down the hall from yours, so she’d often walk you to your room then head to her’s

- It was after dinner, so you guys were heading back to your rooms

- “Mikasa?”

- “Yes?”

- “People have been saying this a lot lately, and I’m just curious, do you like me?”

- Her breathing paused and she just looked at you as you both continued walking, trying to register what you just asked you

- She didn’t want to lie to you, but she didn’t want to get heartbroken from confessing to you

- You guys were about at your room

- “So, do you?” 

- “Y-Yes, I guess I could say I have romantic feelings for you,” she softly said

- You were surprised to hear her tone be so soft, usually, her tone’s more monotone and it’s hard to decode her emotions

- “Oh, that’s cool, I have those feelings for you too,” 

- You smiled at her and she just looked at you with a bit of a shocked face

- A small smile appeared on her face

- You guys gazed at each other for a few seconds before you yawned, clearly tired

- “Well, we can talk more about this tomorrow, I’ll see you in the morning, goodnight,” you’d say with a soft smile

- “G-Goodnight,”

- You then walked into your room and closed your door

- Mikasa walked back to her room and had a small smile on her face

- She felt happy for once

- She couldn’t wait to talk to you more about the subject tomorrow, she actually felt like she could have happiness in her life

- And she’d make sure that nothing could take you away from her
