About “L’amour fait ce qu’il veut” :
When I wrote this song, I was kind of imagining a disney movie. So she (the Disney Princess) is walking and singing - because I’m often making movies in my heads - in my headS! That’s the problem! In my head. And I think about imaginary things. And with this song I was thinking about this prin... but not the new version of princesses, they’re annoying. The old ones, when they were brunettes and not blondes. So she is walking and singing “mais l’amouuur fait ce qu’il veuuuut” because there is this prince who comes and goes and she has to let her hair grows and it’s fucking annoying, she has to wait for 200 years, they’re getting married, they’re divorcing, they’re getting married, they’re divorcing, like she’s the girl next door. Anyway, she’s in her tower, she puts her head out of the window and is like “faiiit ce qu’il veut de moiiiii” and it’s at this exact moment that some birds arrive and begin to sing “l’amour l’a l’a l’amoooour” ! And every time I sing, in arenas, in huge places, every time I sing this song even at festivals I just think “If only people knew that in my head there are little birds singing!”
