minho can confidently say that in his 2+ years of being stuck in the maze, not a single thing had ever been familiar to him. sure, he remembered mundane tasks and household items ( like brushing his teeth and eating hamburgers and riding skateboards ) but there’d never been anything, or anyone, that had ever solicited even the semblance of a memory from him. that, of course, changed the moment she was sent up.
it had been a while since he’d been in the box himself, but he remembers doing his best to stay calm, to collect his thoughts before ascending into his new home. evidently, the girl they’d sent up had had the same idea, because unlike most of the boys, she was doing her best to keep her hysterics under wraps ( assuming she had any at all ). as soon as the grates are open, the girl helps herself out, more unfazed than the gladers surrounding her.
and though there were many striking things about her ( the fact that she was the ONLY girl they’d seen in years, her peace of mind upon entering the glade, the fact that she was armed ) there was only one thing that really stood out about her to minho: he was sure he’d seen her before. he’ll shake his head a bit, as if to clear it, before muttering to himself under his breath. “those shuck creators just can’t give us a break, huh?”
