SketchUp model modified to respond to aspects of my mihimihi, in particular isolation. As well as taking away aspects that suggest this is part of a larger community of buildings (ie wall running along the side of the building by the car park and the concrete running out from the front of the building), I also changed the exterior of the room from concrete to wood, to make it look more ‘beachy’, taking inspiration from various beach houses around Gisborne I took out the section of the building at the back to make the room stand alone more, and made the interior one long room, instead of being divided into a shop and changing rooms.
