OTP: NEVER REALLY GONE
ā Freya Thawn/Austin Brenner (w/ @midnightmaraxder)
I cried
Never gonna hold the hand of another guy
Too young for him they told her
Waitin' for the love of a travelin' soldier
Our love will never end
Waitin' for the soldier to come back again

āIf youāre going to dress like that, Iām not going to let you out of my sight.ā for Stella / Bas
The instant heat that flooded her body was becoming less and less surprising. Bastien had a way of stringing words together into a magic sentence that sent lust straight to her core. And damn him if he didn't know by now the affect those types of words had on her. Jutting her chin out in a way that normally would have said defiance, but now was just a way for her to take in his tall frame, Stella gave him a slow once over with her eyes, smirk still in place.Ā
She'd spent her life around men in suits, most of the highest quality. But not one of them made her tingle with lust the way he did, standing in front of her with his tie slightly loosened around his neck, his jacket tossed over the back of a chair, leaving him in his black pants and a button up dress shirt. She bit down on her bottom lip as her gaze finally met his again.Ā
"Maybe," she said, her voice low with want, "I picked this dress just so you'd look at me." She stepped closer to Bastien, feeling the air thicken around them with that tension that he refused to break. "Maybe it turns me on knowing your eyes are completely on me." She stopped inches from him and raise her hand to his chest, circling one of the buttons on his shirt. "Or maybe I just like this dress and how fantastic my ass looks in it, and you can just deal." She let her finger slide down his chest and across the plains of muscle on his stomach before stepping around him and walking toward the door, adding a bit more sway to her hips as she went, feeling that penetrating stare on her that she'd come to know was all him.
mistletoe for blake / trisha and it was definitely more accidental than on purpose
@midnightmaraxder
The two stepped through the door, bumping into each other and being unable to actually enter the vicinity. The other woman let out a huff, but Trisha smiled innocently.Ā āI was totally here first,ā she said, giving her flimsy excuse. Blake grumbled, not believing her for a second, but before Trisha could make a retort back Rosie hollered at them.Ā
āWell look at the two of you under the mistletoe. Fortunately you two ended up together. Kyle ended up under it with Truman and the shades of red he turned! Couldāve stopped traffic.ā Her laugh came out loud and boisterous, but they were quickly ignored as Rosie made her way back home now that the town meeting had ended.Ā
Trishaās laugh echoed after Rosie, but she paused and saw Blake staring at her questioningly.Ā āWhat? Youāve never been trapped under mistletoe before?āĀ
Blake made a move to push past their little traffic jam, but she grabbed the womanās arm before she could retreat. Trisha rolled her eyes at Blake.Ā āCome on, Blake. Itās just a holiday tradition. Itās not a big deal.āĀ
Tipping her head up towards Blake, she pressed a kiss to her lips. It was supposed to be a quick peck, nothing too scandalous, but something kept her lingering against Blakeās lips. And the fact that Blake hadnāt pushed her away in disgust, Trisha couldnāt help but kiss her for just a little bit longer, her eyes falling shut.Ā
She pulled away slowly, eyes fluttering open. She was embarrassed to admit her heart hammered a little harder in her chest as she met Blakeās eyes.Ā āSee? No big deal,ā she breathed out. Trisha shoved her hands into her jacket pockets, feeling self conscious all of a sudden. Blake didnāt stare at her like she had just grown three heads for kissing her, but there was something that crossed over her features. Something that made Trishaās stomach do a little flip flop.Ā
The two separated, Trisha stepping back so Blake could go first. The brunette seemed to pause before thinking better of whatever it was and headed towards the diner. Her eyes followed after Blakeās retreating form as she questioned what the hell had just happened. It wasnāt a big deal. Blake turned as if sensing her and Trisha quickly averted her gaze, face warming.Ā
āAre you alright, dear?āĀ
Someone passing by had stopped, looking at her in concern. Hopefully they didnāt see me staring at Blake.Ā She shook her head. āY-Yeah. Iām good. Everythingās fine.ā Everything is just fine... She snuck another peak in Blakeās direction.Ā
āā I took your hoodie and Iām not giving it back. āā for Lia / Winston
Winston stared at Lia for a moment before laughing. He had given up on finding his hoodie after searching most of the afternoon. And now here she was admitting to the theft and saying she wouldnāt give it back. He moved closer so he was almost fully in her space.Ā āI hope you know that the prank wars are back on.ā He gave her a wink as he turned on his heel, heading back to his trailer to plot his revenge.Ā āOr you can return it. Iāll show no mercy till itās mine again, Hamid.ā He called over his shoulder as he walked away.Ā
āā All I want to do is sit and eat cookies and watch cheesy romcoms right now. But Iād love some company. āā for Shannon / Lux
It had been a hard case, everyone had handled it differently. Anything involving children was downright soul destroying but they had managed to catch the unsub and stop them from hurting the last victim. But still it had all left Shannon with a bitter taste in her mouth. So she had knocked on Luxās hotel room door. More to just have company so she wouldnāt spend the night drinking away the bad feelings. Lux made her feel better in a way she couldnāt even begin to explain, so she never did. She just took whatever the other woman felt like giving her and dealt with it. And in this moment it was cookies, cheesy movies and her company.Ā āSure that sounds much better than my plan.ā She kissed the corner of her mouth before sinking into the couch.Ā

5. Friend Like You (feat. Lee Fields) by Bliss n Eso
Thereās⦠a lot of Australian hip hop on my Wrapped this year, so itās not surprising weāre starting this off with someā¦. This song kind of came into my life (in that I discovered it, not that it was released) at just the right time? I wasnāt in a particularly bad place, but at the same time, I needed the boost that it provided, mentally. Lyrically, the whole song is just pretty damn relate-able, in my opinion, but thereās one part that just was likeĀ āI needed thatā and it goesĀ āPick yourself up, dust yourself off, and you start from ground zero; and if you need any help, just believe in yourself, you are your own hero.Ā Look at your cape in the wind; everything you do is cinematic.Ā Light speed through time and space, and with a pinch of magic you can rip the fabric.ā
14. Cool by Jonas Brothers
Honestly, when I heard that the Jonas Brothers were coming back, I was not that person that was super excited. I didnāt give a fuck about them before. That didnāt stop me from watching the documentary about their shit on Amazon Prime. Their new music though? Dig it. This song is a jam. Big ups to the trivia host that likes to play the fuck out of the JoBrosĀ ācause itās how i was introduced to their new shit.
21. Keep Going by The Revivalists
I honestly⦠think this made my list as a result of a character playlist. I mean, itās a jam, for sure, but I do think it made it onto a character playlist that I was listening to a lot while playing Xbox⦠and something about the little vocal breakdown made it so I kept looping the song. Iām genuinely surprised itās this high on the list, though.
38. Drakeās Dad by Arkells
I honestly just love this song. It cracks me up because itās⦠literally about thatĀ Drakeās dad⦠kind of. Itās titled after him, but mostly itās just about a crazy trip down to Nashville the singer took for his buddyās bachelor party. I just love the story behind it. Thereās no deep level to this song. I honestly think this is another one that made it so high on the list because it was on a character playlist.Ā āSome Peter Pan shit weāre trying to work throughā was a line I related to the character⦠that and āI do my best thinking, thinking in the shower. Sometimes I do my pre-drinking, drinking in the shower.ā
43. Almost (Sweet Music) by Hozier
I fucking love word play, honestly, and Hozier does a fucking rad job of working in a bunch of different song titles and references into this song and I just loveĀ it. Itās really that simple.
56. Grave Digger by Matt Maeson
Iām pretty sure all of Matt Maesonās music made it onto my top 100, because it was all I was listening to for like two months, and then on top of it, I had major character vibes with his shit, so it got listened to even more than what I was already listening to for it. The music isnāt particularly haunting, but Mattās voice has this qualityĀ to it, and then heās got this kind of raspy growly tone at one point when heās belting it out, and then just goes into this softĀ āmmm mamaā and I just fucking⦠love it. I love all his music. If you havenāt listened to him, I highly recommend checking him out.
65. The Art of the Handshake by Hilltop Hoods
More Australian hip hop, and my top artist of the year (for the third year since joining Spotify in 2015, apparently). I think other than Drakeās Dad, everything up to this point has been new music to me, this year. This song was probably on my first Wrapped, back in 2015, or whatever year it came out, if it wasnāt out then. This song actually makes me think of my dad and one of my cousins, because they have this super long, in depth handshake,Ā āand it just goes on, and it just goes on, and it just goes⦠on.ā
73. Down the Road by C2C
Okay this was definitely like one of my top songs last year, if not my top song, last year, and I honestly think this is kind of residual listening⦠Itās still a jam, though, and is one of those songs that if Iām up and in the kitchen, when it comes on, I will start dancing, no matter what. Itās kind of got the same vibes as the Mobyās Play and B-Side tracks I used to (and still) digā¦
89. Unconditional by Matt Maeson
Not my favorite of Mattās songs, but I love it, nonetheless. I honestly donāt even know what to say about it other than that.
95. Shotgun by George Ezra
This song is so fucking catchy. Iām kind of amazed itās this low on the list, but at the same time, a lot of my listening to it was on Youtube. It always started with me watching the video for Listen to the Man, because Ian McKellen is fucking adorable in that music video, and Iād just go off from there.
100. Rollercoaster by Bleachers
Iām genuinely shocked this made it on the list. I always skip it. Iāve considered removing it from my liked songs, because I always skip it. What is it doing here? Lmao
