It was now midnight in the Kingdom of Arendelle. Princess Anna was heavily pregnant with her and Kristoff Bjorgman's first child. Feeling snacky, she quietly slipped out of her husband's arms and out of their bed, then carefully crept out of their bedroom suite. Her destination of choice was downstairs: the kitchen. Soon, Anna had made her way to the royal kitchen. (Now that I'm here, little one, what shall we eat), Anna thought, lightly rubbing her large baby bump. As if the child understood her, it danced in the confines of her womb. "Chocolate then, baby," she asked in a soft voice. Another kick was the reply. Soon, she went to the cupboards and ice boxes.

Kristoff stirred in his sleep. It felt too calm. He woke up, being a light sleeper (unless he was exhausted, then he slept a little heavier). His wife wasn't there. (Where'd Anna go), he thought, getting out of bed and slipping into his long johns. He walked down the steps, worry etched onto his ruggedly handsome face. With Anna being nearly seven months pregnant, all sorts of thoughts entered his mind: (What if she falls? What if she goes into early labor)? He always wanted to keep her safe and cherished. Soon, he'd heard a loud clang coming from the royal kitchen. He ran into the kitchen.

The kitchen had canvas bags and wrapped leftover foods on the counter tops. Anna was holding onto the top shelf of the pantry, where the cook hid the luxurious chocolate treats that she'd had a craving for, the wooden step stool knocked onto its side on the floor. "Feistypants," Kristoff asked, a blend of worry and humor on his face and in his voice. "What are you doing?" "Oh, just hanging around, Kris," Anna said, stifling a giggle, her lovely freckled face spattered here and there with chocolate and lingonberries, matching the spatters of food on her nightgown. "It certainly looks that way. Here." Kristoff went to Anna and helped her down.

"Thanks, sweetheart. Say, while you're here and you're way taller than me, do you think that you could reach those chocolates that came from Belgium for me please? Our baby had a midnight craving for them." He smirked but easily reached for the box of chocolates. He handed them to her. "Well, you've certainly left your mark in the kitchen, my heart." He lightly touseled her messy, long strawberry hair as he lifted her into his large, strong arms. She lightly touseled his messy shaggy blond hair. "I hope that Cook won't be mad at me," she said. "Well, we can pick it up together, then we can share the chocolate," he suggested. He let her down then they quickly picked up the kitchen. He soon carried her back up to their room, she eating chocolate and feeding him a piece here and there. Who knew that midnight cravings could be so fun?
