Saii bid Surito goodbye and made her way down the stairs from his overlook of the Wanderer’s Palace.  Out of the corner of her eye she noted Lily seemed to pause hovering staring back at the Lalafel turned Tonberry as if she was reluctant to leave.

Seeing that Saii felt a pang of sorrow, Lily missed being able to be with her Scholar as much as Saii missed Tempest's presence.

As a Scholar she could not call him forth due to the difference between the disciplines of Scholar Arcanima and Summoner Arcanima.

But... she thought to herself, what if that difference could be bridged?  

As the fairy returned to her she teleported swiftly to Mor Dhona.  She all but ran into the Rising Stones and grabbed every tome available on Arcanima she could find.  The Miqo'te even bugged Alphinaud begging for him to allow her to borrow his own research materials.

The young arcanist gave them to her curious as to what she was up to. Swiftly she claimed one of the tables near the bar and threw her self into research. Lily found a perch atop the nearby book case and seemed just as interested in the research as her Scholar.

Alphinaud sat nearby as well watching the Seeker work.  Hours passed and he saw her pour through every tome some multiple times before she pulled her codex from her hip and began drawing to sets of geometries.  

They were incredibly complex and Alphinaud could not make sense of them in the least.  They  appeared to be almost to be nonsense a blend of healing, attack and summon patterns that to his eye meant absolutely nothing.

As she finished the final formula the excited Miqo'te looked up at the Elezen her mismatched eyes bright.  She then dismissed Lily and re summoned her then jumped to her feet.

"Alphi," she stated hurriedly as she channeled aether into the first geometry, "Keep an eye on Lily for me I'll be right back."

The Miqo'te then bolted swiftly from the room leaving a perplexed young Elezen to look at the Fairy whos tiny features also seemed confused.

Moments later his linkshell chimed and she huffed, "Is Lily still there?  Her aether steady?"

Alphinaud put on his goggles and toggled them on looking directly at  the diminutive construct and noted no difference in her structure.  She was sitting on her former perch looking around for her summoner.

"Aye she is. Her aetheric signature is as strong as ever.  Why?" he responded

A whoop of excitement rang in his linkshell causing him to yank it out and glare at it reproachfully before returning it to his ear.

"I'am at the old Revenants Toll.  Which means I succeeded."

"Wait, did you say your at the old Revenants Toll?" he quiered, "But....she should have dispersed to the aether by now."

"She would have had I not created a means for her to sustain he own aether." Saii responded.

"You.....how?" he asked incredulous.

"By creating an  aetheric loop.  I activated the geometry that permitted it when I asked you to keep an eye on her"

The doors of the Rising Stones opened again and the Seeker came skidding to a halt before him.  "I had to test to see if it worked like I intended which it did."

"Thats....incredible though I fail to see the tactical use of such a feat...." he replied turning contemplative.

"I didn't do it for any tactical reason.  Unless you count kindness as such," she stated then motioned the fairy toward her.

The familiar fluttered down looking at Saii her head cocked to the side.  The Scholar gave her a big smile stating, "Now you can stay with Surito. I don't have to be near for you to remain."

The Fairy's eyes widened and she said But...what about you.  How can I help you if I’m with him.

Saii reached out to the fairy touching one of her small hands.  "I am grateful for all you've done dear friend but, I see you heart, you desire to be with him and I'm fine with that."

You would be bereft of extra healing... Lily replied

"That’s true.  However, let me test the other geometry I wrote and see if it works."  The Miqo'te retorted

She then closed her eyes and channeled her aether into the codex.  Moments later Tempest jumped forth in the usual burst of energy.

Lily's eyes widened as she remained steady and seeing the carbuncle before her.

I may not be able to heal, the carbuncle chimed to the fairy, but I can defend her so she can.

The little fairy danced happily in the air stating,  Then let us go to Surito and tell him the news.  She then fluttered down and landed on the Seekers shoulder as she intoned the teleport spell.

As the trio disappeared Alphinaud stared in utter shock.  He had thought he had been clever with developing the Onyx carbuncle but Saii had single handedly created, in a few hours the biggest leap in the history of Arcanima.

Anyways, so I have this tiny fc, and we were looking for a small house we could call home, but getting a house in this game is cancer and I decided to roll and level an entire alt rather then click on a house placard for 6+ hours a day. Then se announced more housing. Nice! So I'm still thinking a cozy small lot. I'll be up at 6am tomorrow anyways with littlest bug, (probably earlier) so I'll jump on and grab something, husband dumps 10 million gil in our fc bank, plus the Gil college roommate donated, and the gil I have, he says, let's get a medium. Then let's recruit a bit, nothing huge, but let's aim for 15 ish regular members. We said we didn't want egos and drama, so let's make sure to talk and get a feel for people before inviting.

So...yeah, tomorrow morning I'll hopefully have a medium house, this is draining a big chunk of our Gil, I don't know how I'll decorate it all, but I'm also kinda excited. I really want to build a fun group of friends who can just chill have fun and maybe run a bit of content with.
