The majority of wasps within the superfamily of Mymarommatidea are extinct, their remains preserved in cretacious amber scattered all over the globe. We probably know more about the extinct members than we do the still living, with only 11 species documented, all within the family Mymarommatidae. We know that it is likely the still extent microwasps are also found all over the world; but them being micro does make it tricky to find them. M. pala was first described in 2008, found in multiple places within the US of North America and as southeast as California. Studies in 2025 confirmed that the range of these minuscule ladies extends further northwest up into Quebec, Canada. Where else might these dust-sized dames be found next?
