Why is destroying the Earth over and over an enjoyable past time? Aside from the wanton death and destruction, I can imagine that it'd get quite boring in due time. I'm sure there's gentler ways of alleviating boredom..?
āAn excellent question. I guess Iāve been a bit more assertive of myself ever since I found the shrink ray - or rather, the shrink ray found me. Just to clarify, I donāt shrink the same Earth over and over again. And I donāt wipe out every single civilization I come across. Let me explain from the beginningā¦
āThe first time the shrink ray was activated, it shrank everything in the world down to microscopic size, and teleported them to my basement office too! I was the only normal-sized person in the world, and my house the only normal-sized building. I guess I might have accidentally wiped out Cosmopolis and other places unawares (I donāt know since they were ever so small), but after I found the last surviving continents - and after they tried to wipe me out to no avail - I offered them the chance to live peacefully in my room until I figured out where the shrink ray came from.
"My research found nothing on what the shrink ray was made of or how it worked. I wonder what would have happened if someone such as, say, Doowee wouldāve touched it instead of me? Thereās a display with very huge, complicated numbers on it, and they ever so slowly count down with each Earth that it shrinks.
"Oh yeah, the Earths! I donāt shrink the same Earth over and over again. They just appear in my house in a random place, one Earth every 24 hours. And every time they appear, I decide if I get to destroy them or not based on how they respond to me. Some Earths agree to cooperate with me, and I leave them alone, but those that try to attack me, I wipe out! Plus, their food supplies get teleported to normal size in my house, so I donāt get hungry. Iāve got quite a large number of bubblegum packets from them, let me tell you!
"Playing with these microscopic Earths and destroying the ones who retaliate in various ways might get boring after a few months, but thereās always the Mystery of the Strange Shrink Ray for me to solve! Plus, thereās TV and exercising and other things I can do in my spare time, so itās not like Iām a malevolent goddess all the time! My little welcoming speech was just teasing!ā
