i’m not the most religious person at all but i’ve read somewhere than in christianity the left side symbolises Evil and the right side symbolises Good (politics aside it matches the whole angel-on-one-side-and-devil-on-the-other imagery) SO

whenever isak and even are lying in bed even is always on isak’s right (aka he’s Good) but isak turns around so that even is on his left bc he still hasn’t accepted the fact that he’s gay and sees it as a Bad Thing

and in 3x06 when isak is entering the school after he found out that emma knows about him being gay and saw even kissing sonja, the way the scene is filmed makes a point of showing emma is on his left and even is on his right (maybe the logic is “dirty secret about isak” on the Bad Side and “something that was good while it lasted and doesn’t mean anything on a larger scale” on the Good Side, bc as isak said to eskild, he doesn’t think liking even makes him gay at that point)

NOW WHAT GETS ME is that in the “Minute for Minute” clip even is sitting on isak’s right again but this time, even though even believes he’s being a terrible and toxic factor in isak’s life, despite all that, this is the first time we see isak embrace the whole thing and let himself just lie there so even is on his right. he’s finally at peace and sees that even was a Good Thing all along. and he allows himself to be a part of that picture. and if i’m right about this, we’re never gonna see isak lying on his stomach again.
