great cassandra moment for ben kim in 2x01 when everyone is talking about why they’ve been kept out of axe capital for weeks:
DOLLAR BILL: First one in the lot this morning.
MAFEE: You showed up early to take a look around, didn’t you? See what really caused this. Unless you believe that whole “fire extinguisher malfunction flood” bullshit.
DEB KAWI: You won’t stop with this.
MAFEE: Come on. That was no heart attack.
Ben Kim overhears this.
BEN KIM: Who had a heart attack?
DEB KAWI: Clemenza. Only he didn’t.
DANZIG: The Rosato brothers killed him, and he’s saying this is like that.
MAFEE: It is questionable. Fire systems have automatic cutoffs.
DANZIG: We weren’t even allowed in to get our stuff.
DEB KAWI: I know what you know.
BEN KIM: I heard Axe went kind of nuts.
Everyone stares at him.
DOLLAR BILL: Who the fuck asked you?
DANZIG: If Axe says it was a system malfunction, that’s what it was.
“axe went kind of nuts” is the most correct answer here — he got paranoid that the fbi had a wire at axe cap, and he had a bunch of techs search the whole place and tear open the walls and floors. but ben kim gets shut down for saying it even though:
he’s right, somehow (how would he have heard that information?)
everyone else was already speculating about What Really Happened rather than insisting that axe’s story must be true
