I thought of @hthrrloooo when listening to this episode today because he starts out reading a poem by William Stafford called A Ritual to Read to Each Other. And he goes on to talk about the connection between poetry and ritual.
"And one of the things I want to say about ritual is it's kind of like a poem. William Stafford would write a poem every morning. The first word that would come to him when he woke up, he was in a kind of a meditative state, and then the first word that came would be the beginning of a poem. He wrote a poem each day that way. He understood that being a poet, when he was awake, he was awaking into the world of poetry and his task was to catch those things that were trying to become evident, that otherwise might not be present at all."
He later says "ritual is not about being seen but about being present.." and that is also connected to poetry, art, creativity.

"Second agreements are the necessary negotiations made between one’s soul and the “facts of life,” between one’s deepest desires and the reality of one’s circumstances. Since second agreements originate in the realm of time, they tend to be “time sensitive.” Each new stage of life and each critical turning point involves new agreements and additional negotiations with the forces of life. Genuine growth requires renegotiation of all the second agreements or else meaningful change will not occur and life becomes stuck. Change and the negotiations that it requires are a fact that underlies all the facts of life."
Purpose involves the soul-making process through which we become more genuinely ourselves in ways that add presence to life and also meaning
"At this critical time on Earth, unbeknownst to most people, there is an intensification of longing for calling and meaning and true purpose, as well as a more immediate feeling for the idea of being in service to something beyond our common sense of self."

We are each a dream set within a soul around which our body has been formed, and we solve the inner puzzles of our life by living out the dr
I've always known that I dream but never cultivated memories of those dreams until fairly recently. Probably coincident with doing consciousness medicine work. But I'm fascinated by dreams. Susan dreams and they are sometimes beautiful and many times terrifying. It is a rich dream life.
There are several folks in here who post about their dreams and I read them with awe. I think I can understand the opener from this essay: "a person is a dream placed in a soul around which a body grows."
Life is change and the true life of the soul seeks repeated transformations.
“We are now, and may be for some time, in a collective tragedy that involves a battle for truth and meaning, but also the need for a transfo

"In other words, we should not retreat from life because of the misuse of power, but rather, we should more fully find ways to live in our own truth. For each individual living in truth helps to demonstrate that living in lies means becoming more empty of inner values, as the lies of the soul make a person an empty vessel that lacks genuine. substance and loses any sense of personal purpose. Living within lies can only work if a majority of people subscribe to the systemic use of falsehoods on the part of the administration, for as long as the system of false appearances is not confronted with lived realities, it does not appear to be as empty and hollow as it truly must be.
Living the lie must be confronted with living the truth. The point becomes not simply the exposure of all the false poses and hollow pretenses that living in lies requires, but also the point becomes the revelation that it is not only possible, but it is essential that people who are willing to live fully, come to live within truth."
